Wall Street Associates K.K.
Wall Street Associates K.K. (located in Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO Nick Johnston), a company with a strong record of executive recruitment in the fields of accounting, IT, HR, and finance, has joined with Step Consulting K.K. to further augment the human resource-matching capabilities of its Engineering Division which was established in February 2007. The combined engineering unit, to be named Step Consulting Division commenced operations in September. Neil Bevan from Step Consulting K.K. will assume the position of Division Director.
Step Consulting K.K. was founded in 2000 as a company offering recruitment services primarily in the semiconductor and wireless sectors and has distinguished itself in those sectors over the past seven years. The company's consultants all have industry backgrounds in their particular specializations, and have been placing candidates primarily with foreign corporations. Step Consulting puts great emphasis on providing customer care that is fine-tuned to each individual candidate. The success of Step Consulting's method spreads by word of mouth and many of those placed by Step Consulting were impressed with the level of the service they received that they have themselves introduced new candidates.
Melding the business expertise of both Step Consulting K.K. and Wall Street Associates will greatly enhance the depth of specialized industry expertise and expand the breadth of Wall Street Associates' recruitment knowledge base. The company's four offices around Japan are experiencing a growing demand for engineering personnel and this enhanced Engineering business unit will enable Wall Street Associates to leverage this geographical footprint in order to satisfy increasing demand for the best-suited personnel in the market.
As its first joint project, the Step Consulting Division will exhibit human resource recruitment services for the first time at CEATEC Japan 2007. This comprehensive trade show for cutting-edge IT and electronics is scheduled to take place this October at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture. Wall Street Associates is taking this step to enhance its visibility in the engineering industry a market where the demand for cutting-edge talent is expected to grow in the future.
