Company Description
* A large German company, specializing in safety and breaking systems, and working towards developing innovative new technologies for vehicles today.
Responsibilities
* Support R&D Project Acquisition activities and Quotation Process (project cost estimation);
Issue budget approval (PAR) f or new projects/new SAP project and organize the R&D Kick Off meeting to discuss the entire project layout and related work packages at development start.
* Coordinate the development team, hold regular IPT meetings and control project schedule
* Represent the project internally (regular status reporting) and externally (customer / suppliers).
* Document the project and maintain the project file with all required documents acc. Chapter 4.1 of the CAS management manual in compliance with TS16949 regulations
* Professional use of required PM tools, especially MS Project, OPP, MDB, SAP-PS.
* Ensure proper cost tracking of external and internal driven changes
* Ensure on time customer prototype deliveries in close cooperation with Central R&D prototype management.
* Be the general customer interface and hold regular customer milestone meetings; follow up on customer processes/documents and requests.
* Support new colleagues in start up phase
Requirements
* Strong technical background/ experience
* 7 years or more work experience as design engineer or in design related sections of the automotive industry
* Excellent Japanese and English language skills
* Strong coordination and negotiation
* Good skill of all MS office applications including MS Project
-Preferred Experience:
* Work experience in Chassis & Safety Systems
* Technical knowledge and understanding of the included system components
* Work experience as Project Manager in the automotive industry
* Good knowledge of the targeted OEM and his requirements/processes to work with in future
* Knowledge of SAP system.
