Company Description

A global leader in IP-based end-to-end networking solutions and international service and support. The company, a FORTUNE 1000 company, sells its wire line, wireless, optical and switching solutions to operators in both fast growth and established telecommunications markets around the world.

Responsibilities

The engineer will provide technical support to the customers as a local expert for a specific product or technology area, especially on IP or SDH based Service Provide core transportation technology.
The engineer is the case owner of customer issues, and is responsible to bring the cases to close by solving problems utilizing either local resource in Japan or in R&D located outside of Japan. Engineers in this role also need to help other team members to ensure that all cases are resolved to the satisfaction of the customer in a timely fashion.
* Provide technical support to the front-line product support team and customer
* Reproduce or verify problems, and perform root cause isolation
* Escalate and report on verified problems to R&D
* Provide problem analysis and solution report to customers

Requirements

* Good understanding of networking technologies, especially on Sonet/SDH or MPLS technology.
* Good analytical, troubleshooting, and customer service skills
* Minimum 3 years experience in a technical support role
* Japanese : Fluent Level
* English : Business Level

Preferred Experience

* Technical customer support experience
* Troubleshooting and problem analysis experience
